Program Information: Offering a developmentally appropriate curriculum, we emphasize imaginative play, art, music, and we honor the rhythm of the seasons. Our program is play-based and focuses on teacher-guided activities that build self-esteem, social skills, and community.

Every week we do “explorations,” exploring stations that allow children to work in small groups and grow the foundational skills of teamwork and sharing. These stations are hands-on and designed to promote curiosity while helping to grow fine motor skills. They consist of dramatic play, art, sensory, math, letters, nature, and much more. We teach letter recognition through play/song and do not attempt to hurry their academic growth. Our program will help lay down the foundation for pre-reading and writing skills in a fun, stress-free environment, allowing children to learn at their own pace through play!

Our classroom is located on the bottom floor of Seacoast Charter School and has two beautiful sunny playrooms with doors leading right out to our natural playground. Our playground includes on-site trails that connect to the Dover Community Trail abutting the Cocheco River. We spend over an hour outside most days, in all weather. Every Friday we enjoy a trail walk with our 3rd and 4th grade buddies. We are so grateful for this beautiful land we get to explore, play, and grow on!

As part of the Seacoast Charter School, our preschoolers receive special art, music, and fitness classes offered by our talented SCS staff.
