Wilmot:
Head of School
Bill
Wilmot received his BA majoring in Liberal Arts, from St. John's
College in Annapolis, MD, with a focus on philosophy and the
history of science and math. He earned an Ed.M in School Leadership,
specializing in School Development from Harvard Graduate School
of Education. He taught math, science, and music in grades 5-9
in a variety of charter and district schools. He has also worked
as a consultant for charter and pilot schools,
including developing a middle school program for Seacoast.
Bill

between the arts and academics. As an intersection of this interest
and his teaching, he is constantly looking to expand the pedagogy
of science, math, and all subject areas in light of the working
and thinking of artists.
Sue
Milovina, B.S.
Art Coordinator/ Instructor
Sue
Milovina received her BS from San Jose State University in Industrial
Design and has studied scientific and wildlife illustration
as well as Theater design.
Sue
has taught art privately to home-school and public school students
and has taught Illustration and Color Theory for University
of New Hampshire in the Continuing Education Department. Sue
also assists with the annual Oyster River High School spring
musical, designing sets, costumes and makeup.
Sue
believes that all children should be taught fundamental drawing
skills, including: careful observation, looking for a light
source, three dimensional drawing and shading. In addition to
teaching art, Sue teaches Science and Social Studies. When ever
possible, she incorporates art into these classes. Students
have made replicas of ancient Egyptian artifacts, written and
performed their own version of a Greek myth, and created their
own volcanoes. Sue is constantly reading and researching topics
that interest her and often brings articles she has found to
share with the students. She has high expectations of her students
in all subjects she teaches. Her students all rise to the occasion
and there is a happy buzz in her classroom.
Sue
grew up in the San Francisco Bay area. Her husband, Jack Quinn,
is a physicist. They are the proud parents of two teen-age daughters,
Emma and Molly.
