2017–2018 Event Guide
Lots of fun events and volunteer opportunities are planned at SCS this year, and we want to make sure you have them all on your calendar! Keep an eye on this page for additional activities and details to come. Note that all our activities rely on parent and family volunteers to be successful. Please consider helping with an event this year. Thank you!

SCS community outreach event: Let’s give back to our neighbors at the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital! SCS is looking for volunteers to staff a water stop at the Seacoast Cancer 5K on Sunday, September 24. Sign up here to volunteer!
Check out our huge display of books for kids of all ages! Students will visit the book fair with their classes, and parents are welcome to do some family shopping as well. Volunteers are needed to set up, break down the display, and help with selling books during the fair. Look for future signup information!
Join others in the SCS community as we work on a variety of school building projects — cleaning, organizing, painting, miscellaneous small handy-person chores, outdoor work, etc. — to keep our school well cared for inside and out. Signup information to come!
Join us for our Noche Mexicana Fundraiser for SCS for lunch, happy hour, or dinner at Margaritas Mexican Restaurant in Dover. Just mention you’re there to support the fundraiser, and Margaritas will donate 20% of your bill to SCS. Final date and details to come!
Each year our classrooms create a collaborative piece of art for our annual online auction. You can see all our auction pieces on display during our annual art show on May 19–20, then bid as many times as you’d like online. Don't miss out on the chance to own a unique piece of work especially created for you! More details and link to our auction page to come.
The fun run is a whole school event that serves as a fitness activity, community-building activity, and fundraiser all in one! Students walk, skip, jog, or hop on the Dover Community Trail behind the school as many times as possible during their designated hour. It’s a fun way to usher in summer, while also raising much-needed funds for our school! Volunteers are needed to help on the day of the run and to provide snacks for the runners. Signup information to come!
Don't miss our annual art show, a wonderful celebration of student work from the school year. The show runs like an open house, and families can stop by anytime during open hours. Volunteers are needed during the show to greet attendees and direct them to the third floor. Signup information to come!
