Volunteering at SCS:
Sharing Your Time and Talents
THANK YOU for choosing to be part of our unique and vibrant community, and supporting your children and our school! As members of the SCS community, we hope our families participate in their children’s education. This can take many forms, from supporting academic and artist pursuits to attending conferences and concerts. It also means engaging in the broader SCS school community by contributing personal time, treasure, and talent to help the school meet its needs. Time refers to the time you spend volunteering for the school. Talents are the unique skills or talents you have that can help the school. Treasures are when you donate funds to sustain the school.
How You Can Get Involved
- Volunteer interest form: Complete the form at the bottom of this page, and tell us about your specific interests and skills!
- Parent Volunteer Group: Organizes events and coordinates volunteer opportunities throughout the school year. This informal group meets the third Tuesday of the month at the school. Join us at anytime — everyone is welcome!
- After-school enrichment program: SCS offers a diverse array of “mini-courses” to students after school, and we are always looking for instructors and program help. Contact Alison Magill for more information.
- Keep up with school events and activities: Check out our school newsletter (emailed to all families monthly) and follow the school Facebook page and volunteer-related Facebook groups, SCS Event Volunteers and Friends of SCS.
